How each batch is documented

Every production run is assigned a batch and lot number recorded against the product it belongs to.
Step 2
Analysis
Representative material from the batch is analysed by an independent laboratory using established analytical methods.
Step 3
Certificate of analysis
The results for that batch are recorded on a certificate of analysis, which is made available with the dispatched order.
What a certificate of analysis records
A certificate of analysis is the document that ties a batch to its testing. For each batch, a certificate typically records the product identity, the batch and lot number, the analytical methods used, the date of analysis, and the name of the laboratory that performed the work. On this site, sample certificates are shown as specimens and are watermarked; a batch-specific certificate is provided with the order it belongs to.

Analytical methods
HPLC
High-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) separates the components of a sample so the material can be characterised.
Mass spectrometry
Mass spectrometry, including LC-MS, is used to confirm molecular identity by mass.
Specific figures, results, and the identity of the testing laboratory are recorded on each batch certificate rather than stated as a site-wide claim.
